As a full-time artist I have been painting for 25 years. Originally trained in Oil Painting, I now work across a range of mediums including Water Colour, Acrylic and Mixed Media. The work being strong, fresh and instinctive.
Over the years I have won many awards including "Best Exhibit "using these different mediums. In 1998 my work was part of an international exhibition in New York. I have had many solo shows in Melbourne, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Corowa, Quirindi. I had a successful solo exhibition in Nordlingen, Germany in 2007. I have judged at Regional and Interstate art shows and have appeared as guest artist at various venues
I have tutored at Riverina Community College for 15 years taking classes in water colour, mixed media and creative drawing. Regular classes are conducted by me at my Riverside Gallery close to Wagga Wagga, and workshops at various locations. I have worked on community murals with Wagga City Council, Public and Private schools in Wagga Wagga. School murals in Boree Creek and Urana. And I enjoy working with and encouraging adults with disabilities. In my work I feel that I have shown consistency and steady creative growth.
When asked what is my favourite colour I say "I love colour, I love all colours. Today I love one, tomorrow ... another. I NEED all colours. It is what one colour does when placed alongside another which excites me. Colour is so endless and ever so magical."
My studio/gallery provides me with a large, open area to work and teach. Views of the Currawananna Lagoon – beautiful, tranquil and ever changing with the seasons – captivate all who come here.
Private art collections in Africa, Belgium, England, Germany, Malaysia, New Zealand and the USA display my works as well as many corporate bodies in Australia. Her Grace, Anne, Duchess of Westminster, personally chose one of my works, and the President of Tanzania has one also.
